What is Awana?
Awana is an international, Bible-centered Children’s ministry providing local churches with weekly clubs, programs and training. The goal of Awana is to equip churches to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. The acronym “AWANA” comes from the letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15.

Cubbies is the Awana program for preschoolers during the two years prior to entering Kindergarten, usually 3 & 4 year olds. Cubbies are unique because it supports and maintains parents as the primary source of spiritual nurturing by directly involving them in the teaching and learning process.

Sparks is the Awana Club for Kindergarteners, First Graders and Second Graders. Each club meeting has three parts: game time, Bible lesson time and handbook time.

Truth & Training is the Awana Club for Third Graders, Fourth Graders and Fifth Graders. Like Sparks, T&T also has parts to each meeting: Game time, Council time and handbook time.
Awana registration for 2008 – 2009 will begin on Sunday, July 27th and will continue until Sunday, August 10th. Late registration will continue after this as long as space is available. We will not be having a registration night this year and all registration will take place in the Children’s Ministry Office. Office hours are Sunday 7 AM – 1:30 PM and 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM and Monday – Thursday 8 AM – 4 PM. For your convenience the registration forms can be downloaded here but must be turned in at the Children’s Ministry Office with payment (cash or check only). Registrations will NOT be accepted prior to July 27th except for the children of our volunteers who are allowed to start registering on July 13th.
